President's Message

Welcome to the MNIAAI website.  This organization is comprised of many individuals dedicated to investigating the cause of fire in Minnesota and educating the public regarding the crime of Arson. Our members include a variety of professionals including but not limited to public and private investigators employed by Police, Fire, State Fire Marshal’s Office, the Federal Government, Insurance Companies, Law Offices and Engineering Firms.  All of us share the common interest in the investigation of fires and the fight against those who commit Arson.

Training and the sharing if information is and will continue to be a top priority for our organization. We offer a Fire Investigation Conference in March of each year in St Cloud, Minnesota.  This event typically draws 200-250 attendees that receive quality education on a variety of subjects.  We also offer short quarterly training sessions in conjunction with our membership meetings.  In addition to the conference and quarterly training, we offer other professional development opportunities such as our Burn to Learn and the Hazmat/OSHA initial and refresher courses.  All training opportunities can be found on the website.

This organization has multiple committees that work to advance the fire investigation industry including but not limited to Arson Awareness, Arson Rewards Program, Governors Counsel on Fire Prevention, etc.  To learn more about the committees and how you can get involved, we invite you to become a member.

Our organization conducts quarterly meetings for the membership to provide pertinent updates to our industry.  Membership in MNIAAI provides many excellent fire investigation training opportunities along with the ability to network with other professionals in fire investigation and related fields.   If you are involved directly or indirectly with fire investigations, I encourage you to consider joining MNIAAI.  We welcome new members to bring new perspectives and energy to our organization.  Click here to join.
